Game of Thrones, episode four

Last night was the episode two of "Game of Thrones."  Below is a list of this week's winners and losers.  Be warned there are spoilers ahead!
Winners

Robert’s Bastard Son—Since arriving at King’s Landing, Ned Stark has been trying to get to the bottom of Jon Arryn’s murder.  After doing some good old fashion detective work and taking genealogy lessons from one of the village elders, Stark stumbled upon King Robert’s bastard son.  Though he’s only a blacksmith who loves to make helmets, Stark has bigger things in mind for Bobby Jr.  Great luck for a weird blacksmith.

Jon and Sam becoming besties!—Jon Snow continues his training at The Wall, which he quickly discovers is much less appealing than he originally believed.  Nevertheless, he displays his exceptional fighting skills each day during training.  When Sam arrives at The Wall, he could not be less suited to become a member of the Night’s Watch.  He later reveals that his father gave him an ultimatum: The Wall or head to the woods and become hunted by the other townsmen.  Once Snow hears this, they’re BFF.  Snow threatens anyone who bullies Sam by gagging them in the middle of the night and having his Direwolf growl in their face.  They swap stories about not being able to have sex.  You know typical girl talk.

Medieval jousting—The citizens of King’s Landing have been clamoring for a Knight’s tournament ever since Ned Stark arrived as King Robert’s new right hand man.  Though the King has left the city in debt from his extravagant lifestyle, Stark relents and allows the expensive tournament to proceed.  The first two competitors of the day are Jon Arryn’s former squire (and likely assassin) blond-haired, blue-eyed Ser Hugh, and The Mountain.  Turns out, The Mountain is actually The Hound’s older brother, the one who burned his six year old brother’s face off for playing with his toys.  Guess who won?  Ser Hugh took a lance to the throat, spewing blood from his mouth.

Losers

Viserys Taragaryen—He may be the Dragon King and the deposed heir to the iron throne, but he’s not exactly a ladies man.  Viserys Taragaryen paid a woman to have sex with him in a bathtub, and all she wanted to do was talk about dragons.  How badly she wanted to see a dragon.  If dragons still existed.  Where the dragons skulls were in King’s Landing.  What the dragons were named.  After that his little sister threatened to cut his hands off.

Cersei’s hair—Cersei Lannister’s long blonde hair is one of her most beautiful features.  Unfortunately, it may have played a role in revealing to Catelynn that she was partially responsible for Bran’s fall from the tower.  This week, she tried to wear it in an updo for the tournament, but just ended up looking like Bram Stoker’s Dracula.

Tyrion Lannister—On his way back from visiting The Wall, Tyrion stopped to get rest at an inn along the way, but little to his knowledge Catelynn Stark was secretly lodging there for the night.  Once he revealed her identity to the other patrons at the pub, Catelynn unleashed her angry mother’s wrath and called upon anyone who honored her father to place Tyrion under arrest for the attempted murder of her ten-year-old son Bran.
